Docker Image List #

Displays a list of Docker images downloaded via the docker pull command.

$ docker images

Docker Image Deletion #

If you no longer use a container and its associated image, you can delete the image using the docker rmi command.

# docker rmi IMAGE[:TAG]
$ docker rmi ubuntu:16.04

Docker Image Download #

docker image pull [OPTION] imageName[:TagName]

# Retrieve CentOS image
docker image pull centos:7

# Retrieve all CentOS images
docker image pull -a centos

# Retrieve Ubuntu:latest image
docker image pull ubuntu:latest

# Retrieve TensorFlow image by specifying URL
docker iamge pull gcr.io.tensorflow/tensorflow

docker image inspect [image]

docker image inspect hello-world:latest: Display detailed information for the hello-world image
